Unleashing My Passion for Health and Fitness In my late teens, I made a pivotal decision to prioritise my health and fitness.
From that day forward, an unquenchable fire of drive, discipline, and passion burned within me. Today, that flame continues to burn brighter than ever.
Throughout my fitness journey, I have embarked on countless endevors with unwavering determination. From bulking and cutting to strength training.
I have left no stone unturned. And the astonishing part? I have conquered almost over two decades of this wild ride without a single injury.
Now, standing at the pinnacle of physical fitness, I feel an incredible sense of accomplishment. But more importantly, my mental well-being has reached new heights.
Prepare to witness the explosive power of my unwavering dedication and relentless pursuit of holistic health.
Welcome to a world where fitness knows no limits. My training regimen revolves around a high rep range known as hypertrophy training, also known for body composition and muscle-focused training.
This approach is crucial as it minimises the risk of injuries and alleviates stress on your joints.
We have all witnessed those individuals who lift heavy weights without executing proper form.
Let's take a moment to slow things down, correct our posture, and establish a mind-to-muscle connection on the eccentric, concentric and the isometric movements.
With this mindset, we can commence our workout. Trust me, you will notice a significant difference in burn and pump within seconds.
I believe life is a delicate balance of choices, and our decisions significantly impact our well-being.
Just like the yin and yang, the choices we make in terms of health and discipline can either lead to positive outcomes or potential risks.
It's essential to recognise that the effort we invest in our health directly correlates with the results we achieve.
I am speaking from my own personal journey, as a proud father of three amazing children who are my world and one of whom is a type 1 diabetic.
Seeing firsthand the obstacles my son conquers every day has opened my eyes to the immense impact that discipline and a healthy lifestyle have on our general wellness.
I am sharing this not to create panic, but to underline the incredible power of choice that resides within each and every one of us.
Neglecting our health can lead to severe consequences, including an elevated risk of becoming a pre diabetic or developing type 2 diabetes and many more.
As a compassionate individual, I genuinely care about peoples health and their well-being, making it my goal to bring awareness about diabetes through fitness, health and nutrition.
My objective is to assist you in avoiding the potential challenges that may arise if positive changes are not embraced. This is a matter close to my heart, as it pains me to think that such issues can be prevented.
Imagine this: a single decision, such as going to the gym tonight or simply taking a brisk walk or run, has the ability to completely change your overall well-being for the future.
By adopting a commitment to regular exercise and mindful eating, you can pave the way towards a healthier and more fulfilling life.
Let's embark on a transformative journey together to reshape your mindset, improve your health, and enhance your physical appearance.
This journey will ultimately propel you towards success in all aspects of life. But don't just do it for yourself; do it for the ones who value and adore you, your family.
My SONS DIAGNOSIS
So, if you've come this far, you'll already know my son is a Type 1 diabetic and was diagnosed on the 31/3/21, the day our world fell apart. It's a day I'll never forget and still haunts me today.
Let's just say he was at the stage where his organs were failing. If left undiagnosed any longer, this could have been fatal.
Once diagnosed, it was only by looking back at photos that we noticed a slow decrease in weight over the past three months.
I recall one Sunday morning, during a playful father-son tussle, noticing his spine was showing.
I mentioned to my partner that we need to monitor his weight. As parents of growing children, we had attributed it to hormones and his active involvement in sports and school, etc.
While closely monitoring his weight, we also noticed other behaviours, such as drinking excessive amounts of water and urinating frequently.
At times, he would feel very lifeless and fatigued, and then suddenly be okay. I must say, this was in the last few days leading up to the diagnosis.
At this point, we knew something was seriously wrong and needed answers.
My partner took our son to the doctor's for a checkup. Here's the shocking part: the doctor performed the checkup, took a blood test, and said the results would return within 24 hours.
Once returned home, I remember my partner and me in the garden putting away the furniture, which caught my neighbours attention over the fence.
This was just the usual "How are you?" conversation until I mentioned my son's condition.
We got talking, and I started to explain everything we've been experiencing: from drinking loads to urinating excessively and feeling very fatigued. His next words were, 'I bet my yearly wage he's diabetic.'
We both looked at each other and were so taken back by this, but realised it could be true.
No, not our son, surely? He's fit, young, and healthy. But who are we to diagnose a condition we know absolutely nothing about right?
You're probably asking yourself, how does he know of these symptoms? Well, he is a type 1 diabetic.
What are the chances of that? God works in mysterious ways. I truly believe this.
After the conversation had finished, we decided to check on our son. At this point, his condition had worsened and was deteriorating rapidly.
My partner and I decided to take further action, so we took him to A and E and demanded answers.
The nurses could clearly see that our son wasn’t responsive and took action immediately.
They took blood tests and realised his sugar levels were out of control and immediately connected him to two drips where he would be hydrated and have his salts replenished back into his system.
This was all during COVID by the way. I wasn't allowed in as only one parent was allowed at this time. I remember waiting in the car for hours, thinking this must be serious, and it was.
The nurses said you are so lucky you took action when you did; otherwise, things could have been fatal, possibly resulting to death.
I remember around 11:30 am that evening, my partner called and mentioned our neighbour was correct in his diagnosis; our son is a type 1 diabetic.
I couldn't breathe for a good 10 seconds while trying to take all this in.
After a deeply emotional call, the nurses had kindly decided to let me in to see my son.
Seeing him on the bed, connected to two drips looking lifeless, is an image I will never, NEVER forget.
The doctor called around 12:00 am, instructing us to take our son to A&E. My partner's response was, "We're already here.
" Enough said on that matter. But sometimes, it's important to take action and trust your instincts..
If we had listened to the doctor, our son might not have made it through the night.
So, this is my experience with diabetes and my son. I cannot explain the emotions and pain we endured at that time, which today has made us stronger than ever.
We are now three years down the line and have educated ourselves on diabetes. My son is now fighting fit and is my inspiration every day.
He's active in the gym and plays for his local football team. Oh, and by the way, he's taller than me now and I'm 5ft 10"haha. He has not let this beat him and I WILL NOT let this beat us.
Going forward, I hope people understand the deep drive and passion I have for this as we almost lost our son. If I can prevent this from happening to a family, child, or adult, my job is done.
Thank you so much for taking the time reading about my experience.
MY GOAL
My primary objective is to assist individuals in their journey
towards self-improvement by leveraging the transformative powers of health, fitness, diabetes and an untouchable mindset.
I am passionately committed to guiding others to unlock their full potential, ensuring they embody the finest version of themselves.
Simultaneously, my mission extends to elevating consciousness around the critical issues of diabetes and mental health, recognising the profound impact these conditions have on overall wellbeing.
Through dedication and a genuine desire to make a positive difference, I aim to serve as a catalyst for change and empowerment in these pivotal aspects of life.
I believe fitness and health are often viewed as symbols of ego or excessive confidence and arrogance.
I want to shift this narrative and encourage people to enjoy fitness, making it a lifestyle rather than just a one, two, or three-month program or phase.
Commit to a life changing journey of self-love and discipline. Raise the bar and implement healthy habits and a healthy mindset.
- FAMILY - LOVE - LOYALTY - LEAD BY EXAMPLE -
- KEEP YOUR WORD - BE DISCIPLINED - OVERCOMER - TEAM WORK -
- NEVER QUIT - KEEP CUSTOMERS HAPPY -
These are the core values of my life and how I live day to day.
"I'm a steadfast advocate for the golden rule: treating others as you'd desire to be treated—no exceptions.
It's disheartening to witness the erosion of such fundamental values in today's society."

MY GLUCOSE RESULTS
Experience my blood sugar readings with the FreeStyle Libre 2. It's a game-changer for diabetics in tracking glucose to avoid dangerous highs and lows. Truly incredible tech, and it's getting even better.
Moving forward, I decided to use this to my benefit and monitor whether what I was eating was spiking my glucose levels.
As health and fitness are a huge part of my life, I decided to use this for a few weeks and keep an eye on my diet.
My diet is pretty good and on point but was just curious on certain things like fruit, potatoes and rice, all being carbs, which our bodies convert
into sugars.
Below are my glucose levels/results over the course of 14 days.
In this picture, it displays an overall percentage for a period of two weeks. For anyone who is not diabetic, our levels should be between 4mmol/L and 7mmol/L. This is the range our body requires.
Anything lower than 4mmol/L can be very dangerous and is usually referred to as a hypo.
This is rectified with some form of glucose to elevate your levels.
Exceeding 7mmol/L can also pose risks; thus, if you are diabetic, you will need a specific dose or units of insulin to reduce your levels to the optimal range.
Within this image, you are afforded a pristine and unobstructed perspective of my Daily Patterns chart.
This visual representation encompasses a comprehensive snapshot over the span of two weeks.
It provides a detailed rundown which encapsulates just a general overlook of my routines and activities across the aforementioned 14-day period.
This summary serves to present an informative glance into the structure and regular occurrences in my day-to-day life.
This also indicates the foods im choosing to eat are keeping my insulin levels low and glucose low, which is perfect and in the optimal range.
The image presented here serves as a visual representation of my typical glucose measurement.
This easily accessible illustration is designed to provide a clear understanding of the current status of my blood glucose concentrations.
It effectively strips away the complexity of interpreting numbers by offering a straightforward glimpse at my average sugar levels, consequently giving a snapshot of my health in terms of glucose management.
This snapshot serves as an informative reference point and furnishes an approximate sense of how my blood sugar levels generally trend, thus allowing you to gain insights into the stability of my blood glucose over time.
This picture displays the sensor usage over a span of 14 days.
I must say, I became quite obsessed with this information, particularly fixated on the results before and after I'd eaten.
Sometimes, I would observe my levels while eating. A little too much i know but i wanted the results.
MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING - DATA RESULTS
Mental health and wellbeing are subjects I feel deeply about and hold close to my heart.
Considering everything that occurred surrounding my son's diagnosis, it's only fair to admit it had a significant impact on my wellbeing and mental health.
All cards on the table here, this is something that I had never felt before or even thought I'd go through to be honest.
It still brings me to tears, knowing that every couple of minutes, someone takes their own life or even struggling with such dark DARK, horrifying emotions and thoughts.
When my son was diagnosed, I remember, a few months down the line, grappling with my own dark thoughts and questioning whether is it was all worth it; pondering the 'whys' and 'hows.'
Everything was up in the air, to say the least, with lack of sleep and trying to get our heads around diabetes, knowing how dangerous it was if we gave our son too much insulin.
We just didn't know which way to turn. Our world was falling apart right in front of our eyes.
It was a very challenging time for the entire family, but I managed to pull myself out of this dark pit I'd created.
With no support or counselling, I found the only way to beat this was to stick to my fitness and create an entirely new mindset towards life itself, almost rewriting my DNA.
In every case your fitness must come first. I truly believe that if i was not fit and was not consistent with my fitness and diet, i would have thrown in the towel.
I feel strongly that targeting my anger and pain in the gym, was my only release and now my therapy.
Today, I am in a better place than I've ever been, mentally and physically.
We've overcome the fears of diabetes, educated ourselves, and even started offering other newly diagnosed individuals our experiences and advice. How things change is unbelievable.
This is my message to you guys That fitness cannot be over looked EVER, it will save your life period.
